What’s new ? Developments of the Hedon Blog service.

SPOTLIGHT – Service Developments

WHAT’S UP – REGULARS will have noticed that a number of changes have taken place over the past few months on the Hedon Blog. We’ve had a facelift and made many changes to the background to better promote and showcase our What’s On event listings.

Events are now presented in chronological order and can be found easily and simply on the Blog. Those looking for local events via search engines (Google, Bing, etc.) will increasingly see our events listed. Once you find your way to the blog, your events and similar events will feature prominently.

Hedon Blog Editor Ray Dufill left Facebook in March this year (2022) citing issues with how Meta (Facebook’s multimillion-dollar parent company) was subliminally influencing behavior and influencing society with its Metaverse plans. While Meta’s influence is in long, slow decline, it will be around for a long time to come. So those looking for event information in one place will always have difficulty and of course these increasing numbers of un-registered people will be ignored by these Meta platforms. Locally, Hedon Blog remains a haven for those who aren’t on social media.

For those who spend more and more time every day on Facebook, Instagram and the like announcing their events (count how much time you spend on each, you’ll be surprised!), they can also simply add their event once to Hedon blog listings, and our service will promote it for you. It’s FREE and always will be.

In the new year 2023, we intend to add a facility where event organizers, if they wish, can enter their own event content directly in the blog with their own posters, logos, etc. publish instantly.

The New Year 2023 will bring big changes to the Hedon Blog – but our What’s On service will continue to be our core business serving our loyal local readers.
