CANADIAN COUNTY, Oklahoma (KFOR) – Canadian county authorities have arrested a 39-year-old man in connection with a child pornography investigation.
Officials say the investigation began after the Oklahoma Bureau of Investigation Internet Crimes Unit received advice from Microsoft Bing directors.
Microsoft said it performed an audit of Eric Rick, 39, and discovered that he had uploaded child pornography on a girl aged 6 to 12.
Investigators allege that Rick uploaded the photo in an attempt to locate more images of the child.
The information was forwarded to the Canadian County Sheriff’s Office, which initiated the investigation.
MPs questioned Rick, who admitted to uploading child pornography and would upload photos to reverse image search engines to locate additional photos of specific children.
A forensic investigator has reportedly discovered several images of child pornography on Rick’s cell phone and laptop. A thorough and comprehensive examination of Rick’s devices led investigators to hundreds of images of child pornography.
Additionally, officials said they found TikTok videos of underage women dancing.
Rick was arrested on one count of possession of child pornography and one count of aggravated possession of child pornography.
“I hope and pray that there are no hands on the victims, and I ask anyone with information to contact my office,” said Chris West, Canadian County Sheriff.
