ITU Online provides free training and development to veterans who are part of the Philadelphia Flyers Hockey Club.
DUNEDIN, FLORIDA, USA, July 20, 2021 /EINPresswire.com/ – ITU Online announced today that it will offer free online training and development programs at the Flyers Warriors Hockey Club. This program is offered in partnership with the Philadelphia Flyers Alumni Association. Through this partnership, Flyers Warriors players and families will have access to over 230 online training programs. The comprehensive library of courses covers everything from resume writing to IT and tech certification programs for Microsoft, Adobe, Cisco, CompTIA, cybersecurity, project management, web development, social media, and marketing. Carrie Cameron, President and CEO, saw the opportunity to provide this necessary service and, without hesitation, accepted the opportunity to get involved with the Flyers Warriors. Carrie said; “Our veterans have brought so much to our country, this is an opportunity for us to give back and thank you for your service.”
The Warriors and their families will have access to 24X7 online programs. Many will be able to develop skills that could advance their careers or prepare them for the next opportunity in their lives. In today’s competitive job market, having the necessary computer skills is essential for success. If players and families were to participate in this level of training in a classroom setting, it would cost thousands of dollars and require them to take time out of their busy schedules to attend classroom training. By having access to the entire library, classes can be taken in their free time.
“This partnership with ITU Online will provide much needed training and development for our players and their families,” said Bill Duffy, a 21-year-old Air Force veteran and current Flyers Warriors player and captain. These are the latest services we have brought together to support our team. âHockey is played on the ice. With the help of the Flyers Alumni Association and partners like ITU Online, we are creating a structure to support our players and their families on and off the ice.
âWhen the Philadelphia Flyers launched the Warriors initiative, our mission was to provide our veterans with disabilities the opportunity to play hockey. We started as a Learn to Skate program, and now we’ve grown the Warriors program into three strong hockey teams, âsaid Brad Marsh, former Flyer and Warriors head coach. âAs we started to develop a relationship with the players, we realized that there was so much more than hockey that we could offer. This partnership with ITU Online is the latest in a growing list of services we have brought together to support our players, âsaid Marsh.
