Do teachers commit to teaching CRT, any of your children on the list?

The Freedom Foundation, a conservative, non-partisan free market group that advocates for sound and conservative business, educational, and societal principles.

They were the ones who were involved in the Slidewaters Waterpark lawsuit against the state for COVID closures in Chelan County, and they were the first to speak out against the WA state DOH counting gunshot deaths. as victims of COVID.

Now they have obtained information on a national list signed by educators, who are committed to teaching critical race theory in schools, regardless of possible laws or parental resistance.

The CRT is a “curriculum” by which societal issues relate to American history, which essentially say that America was founded on racist, fanatic sexist and even homophobic policies; contrary to what is written in the history books.

According to the Foundation, a number of states have adopted or are in the process of adopting anti-CRT legislation. They include:

“Texas, Idaho, Arkansas, Iowa, Louisiana, New Hampshire, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, West Virginia, Arizona, North Carolina and Missouri.”

The Foundation claims that this list comes from what is called the Zinn Education Project. According to the Foundation:

“(the) Zinn’s educational project focuses on providing propaganda disguised as teaching lessons based on Howard Zinn, left-wing historian and textbook author.

The document contains a place for teachers / educators to “sign” the petition / pledge and leave comments if they wish. As of that date, more than 5,000 teachers nationwide have signed up. There are a lot of them from the Pacific Northwest and a lot of them from Seattle and Portland.

Some of the signatories appear to be trying to make a reasonable argument for the CRT based on their comments, but the document is littered with statements about the racist, sexist and white capitalist history of our nation and how it needs to be corrected. .

In the next few days, we’ll update this story and include quotes from these teachers. We are currently halfway through the 497 pages of signatories, we are looking for educators who could be from our region.
